ACS RPL Support

Applicant-led RPL planning for professional-currency evidence, two authentic project reports, ICT knowledge areas, employment records and final consistency checks.

Service overview

Focused support for the correct assessment task.

The ACS RPL pathway is evidence-intensive. Current ACS guidance requires two project reports to substantiate acquired ICT knowledge, with recency rules applying to the selected projects. Reports must describe the applicant’s own work and knowledge; copying samples or inventing technical involvement creates serious authorship risk.

Detailed scope

What the service covers.

The final scope is confirmed after reviewing the pathway, current documents, evidence and target timing.

01

Eligibility and currency check

Review experience dates, professional ICT level, nominated occupations and current currency evidence.

02

Project selection

Compare projects for recency, relevance, complexity, personal contribution and evidence availability.

03

Knowledge-area mapping

Connect authentic activities to the required ICT knowledge areas without keyword stuffing.

04

Two RPL project reports

Structure context, role, methods, decisions, challenges, contribution, results and lessons.

05

Employment evidence

Align project dates and responsibilities with references, payment evidence and CV history.

06

Originality and authorship review

Identify copied patterns, unsupported claims and inconsistent technical voice.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about ACS RPL Support.

Current official requirements take precedence over general website information.

How many RPL project reports are required?

Current ACS guidance requires two project reports.

How recent must the projects be?

ACS currently states that one report should cover a project within the last two years and the other a project within the last four years; verify the rule before lodging.

Can sample reports be adapted?

No. Samples may illustrate format only; submitted evidence must reflect the applicant’s own work and knowledge.

Can one project cover every knowledge area?

Coverage must be genuine. Do not force unsupported knowledge claims into a project.

What if my role was not project-based?

ACS guidance addresses non-project roles; the applicant must still describe authentic work activities and challenges.

Is RPL approval guaranteed?

No. ACS independently assesses the evidence.
